Debbie Ryan Mosaics

Debbie Ryan Mosaics was commissioned by TIC Consultants to produce a large mosaic artwork relevant to the Bedford Road area in Bootle, during an Artist Residency.

During the project Debbie worked with a variety of community groups, schools and youth clubs, running mosaic workshops where participants learned about all stages of mosaic making.

The resulting artworks were then constucted together to form a large collabortive artwork, forming the shape of a house, representing the different aspects of the community.

The artworks grouping are inspired by a poem written by Roger McGough called Bootle.

 Each side of the house and the interior is related to a verse in the poem.
